Dutch Baby: Test Kitchen

Today was the day, to finally try my hand at this recipe for “dutch baby”. Great for breakfast, brunch, lunch, or shoot dinner. I dived right into this, I could hardly wait! The berry compote that I tossed together was the perfect accompaniment. So here it is my friends, enjoy!

Ingredients:

1/2 Cup flour

1/2 cup milk (I used Almond Milk)

2 tbsp. Sugar

2 Large Eggs

1/2 tsp. Salt

1 tsp. Vanilla

2 tbsp. Butter

Directions:

  1. Blend all ingredients in blender (I used Ninja)
  2. Let batter rest 20 minutes.
  3. Heat cast iron or skillet in oven to 425 degrees fahrenheit
  4. Remove pan add  2 tbsp butter to it, swirl it in pot to melt.
  5. Pour batter in cast iron be sure it covers bottom evenly.
  6. Bake til puffed up, 15-20 minutes, will be light brown across top, edges/crust a bit darker in color.

DONE!!! SERVE HOT! WITH FRUIT AND OR SYRUP!

(I personally made a berry compote that consisted of blueberries and strawberries.)
